Field Dependent Student Errors in Solving Linear Algebra Problems Based on Newman's Procedure

AbstrakMasih banyak ditemui mahasiswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaiakan masalah Aljabar Linier khususnya pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis dan faktor penyebab field dependent (FD) menyelesaikan linier berdasarkan tahapan Newman. dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif subjek penelitian 28 Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya Angkatan 2020. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan tes wawancara. Pada tahap pertama GEFT mengetahui gaya kognitif setiap mahasiswa, selanjutnya FD diberikan penyelesaian Linier, kemudian dipilih 3 kemampuan terendah analisis menggunakan Miles and Huberman meliputi reduksi data, penyajian penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil dapat disimpulkan bahwa aljabar terletak transformasi, keterampilan proses, penulisan jawaban dimana masih mengalami penentuan operasi baris elementer proses perhitungan. Sedangkan tersebut dikarenakan adanya pemahaman konsep, menghitung, kurang teliti mengerjakan. This study aims to describe the types factors that cause student error dependent(FD) linear algebra problems based on Newman's stages. research was conducted using a qualitative approach with subjects of Mathematics Education Study at University Class Data collection techniques used tests interviews. In first stage, test carried out determine cognitive style each student. Then were given problem-solving test, then lowest abilities selected for The analysis technique uses Huberman, including reduction, presentation, conclusion. Based results, it can be concluded errors lie stages transformation, processing skills, writing answers, where experience determining elementary row operations calculation processes. While are understanding concepts, calculating, inaccuracy working. And answers process.
